Tricking Her Family

Christy Sheats was a proud gun owner who appeared to love her daughters with

her whole heart. It turns out she loved her guns more than her own children.

Christy Sheats called a family meeting. Her husband, Jason Sheats, assumed

that she was going to break the good news to her daughters about their decision

to get back together after a separation. Once she had everyone in the room

she whipped out her gun and pointed it at 22-year-old Taylor and 17-year-old

Madison Sheats. She never pointed it at her husband though. Her reason is disgusting.

Mental Illness

Mrs. Sheats was known to be mentally unstable. She drank heavily and took

psychiatric medications. She was even admitted to a mental hospital 3 times

for attempting suicide. After she got in an argument with her oldest daughter,

just days from her wedding, Christy proved just how disturbed she was.

Fort Bend County Sheriff, Troy Nehls, stated that, “Christy wanted to ground

her and prevent her from seeing her boyfriend, or fiancé, because she argued

with her. Mr. Sheats did not agree, and told her it was inappropriate to ground

their 22-year-old daughter and prevent her from seeing her fiancé.”

The argument was apparently the last straw––sending the mother

deeper into depression, which soon led to psychotic anger. She set out to get

revenge on her husband for disagreeing with her.

Mrs. Sheats purposely chose to murder her children in front of their father on his

birthday. She wanted to make him suffer, knowing that nothing could be worse than

forcing him to watch his baby girls die at the hands of their “loving” mother, and being

forced to remember the murder with each passing birthday for the rest of his life.

He begged and pleaded with her to put the gun down as the daughters called 911.

When the girls tried to run she shot them inside the house and again outside of

the house. A neighbor called the police who would later find her youngest

daughter lying dead on the sidewalk next to her sister while she bled out.

Jason: “Please don’t point the gun at us,” he said. “I beg you, please put it away.

I’m sorry. I promise you, whatever you want.”Christy: “Too late”Jason: “Just shoot

yourself. Make it easy on all of us, just shoot yourself”Christy: “No, that’s not what

this is about, this is about punishing you”
